Jeremy Lee has broken a huge barrier for this site at least, by becoming the first player to be ranked outside of the top 100.

Dead last on two kart sites, that's just plain awesome.

It's stupid to start out with a different character such as toad; his mechanics are completely different to that of Bowser. It's only going to make the transition to using Bowser much harder because you get thrown off. Since you eventually have to use Bowser to get better times anyway, it's best to start off at him.

I started with Bowser and I was able to get a top-25 time within a week or so. It's much better than wasting time with Toad in which you'll never achieve that as a beginner.

And btw, congrats to the site.

But, everyone has to get first used to this game, so, they choose first the character they want and then, when they start to be good players they can change their character to a better one and improve more easily. Don't you think so?

That's a waste of time. You might as well start with Bowser if you want good times here. If you're just playing for your own enjoyment and your ranks here don't matter, then I would advise him to use Toad (since he seems to like Toad the most). But it's good advice to use Bowser from the start if you really care about your TT times.

Maybe if he cares about SC times like you do, then using Toad wouldn't be a bad idea. But learning the game through anything other than what you're going to be doing in the long run seems pointless.

I can (proudly! ^^) say that I am responsible for Jeremy Lee being kicked out of the top 100... I was the 101st person to get a full timesheet...
