I can't believe nobody has said Rainbow Road yet!

You spend most of the race just bouncing from bumper to bumper. They're small targets to hit and you lose a lot of time (and might as well restart) if you miss them and land on the road too early. And of course you have to hit those zippers at the end... and lined up so that you don't zip yourself off the course or plow into the barrier.

This has got to be the most unorthodox track in the Mario Kart franchise. I'd rather do some real driving than play ping-pong with my Kart. You're probably ranked ahead of me on this track-- good for you.

So what tracks do I like? The Bowser Castle tracks of course. Simple, straightforward tests of your most basic Kart skills. No shortcuts or alternate routes to learn, no cheap tricks or real places to benefit from ZZMT or whatever... you just drive.

My most hated course is CCI. It's the only track that I haven't 3/3'd the best non-nbt strat without making a mistake/failing.

Any course in which you have to drive over water for an extended period of time, but mainly RKB1. Yes, I mean it.

Water makes your speed fluctuate ALOT. A waterslide that is mistimed by even .01 or so will lose you a good .10 milliseconds just like that. Its next to impossible to keep your speed at its highest, and I can say this because of the stupid amount of time I spent working on RKB1.

The other course sets I hate are the RVL's. Driving through those one block wide spaces is a pain in the ass, espescially on RVL1.

I for one love the RVL's... in RVL1 it's about picking the right blocks to break in the first lap and then not straying from your chosen route in the other four. And good shroomsliding.

In RVL2 you just have to be prepared when you come to that narrow space between the ice blocks. I used DK for better control. Again, skillful shroomsliding saves the day. I'm sure it's quite possible to take the left gap in the ice blocks instead of the right, as the fastest SMK times would.

I find the flap to be more bothersome in RVL1... if you mess it up you have to break all those ice blocks again to open up the track.

And you only sacrifice about half a second in the 5lap if you go ahead and get rid of the problem ice blocks in the first lap, there are only three that have to go so you can have a nice open track (four if you want to be extra safe)

RVL1 is easy if you know how to do it Smiley

I don't think you really have the right to say that RVL1 is an easy track when the WR is 39"60 by Fenner, and your time is a decent 4 seconds and 56 milliseconds behind that.

Try getting within a second breaking blocks, it won't happen.

I know he broke 2 blocks in his run, but that just proves how undeveloped the record is. A perfect run wouldn't break any blocks.
