2009 progress

We're 15 days into the new year, has anyone made any progress or prs?

I have been going crazy, got four sc prs already lol

WS SC flap
CM SC 3 lap
LR SC 3 lap
FS SC 3 lap

and I got one non pr on CM.

I am gonna use up all my potential this month haha

Last year I only Pred in SCs once

I just might get into the top 20 for scs now, with that WS flap I pass Louis for #9 in Flap totals.

i got like a 45:8X first lap one shroomer on dkjp. (without susans strat. Cheesy

) which i think is half decent considering my circumstances, the sad part about this is, I'm pretty sure I can beat my ntsc pr on the keyboard if I land cleaner runs and use lacey's strat. Smiley

I havn't landed any clean runs this year on my emulator/keyboard combo yet.

i got 38:99 on sl flap with a missed mt, not that it's any good ether way.

Gender:	Re: 2009 progress Reply #2 - 01/15/09 at 16:10:41 for the most part I feel like I re-memorized most of the courses on the game and if I started playing on a real console, I could be up to normal skill level as soon as I adapt to ntsc and the controller and a bit more practice.

Make that 9 legend times (and only "02 away from #10 (RRy flap)). Wink

On another note, how much does getting flaps on lap 1 cost you? So far I haven't bothered doing them on round 2 (except for KTB) as lap 1 is a much more time-efficient way to learn (and I care more about 3laps), but at some point I guess I have to. I know that it's faster on some courses, but let's say BB, CM and RRy for instance -- how much time do you lose?

Start doing the flaps on the second lap right away. if your getting legend times it's time to start doing that.

yes, it's a dramatic difference in how much it cuts, up to .30 in some cases,

but you usally choke alot more when you have to drive a lap before starting which builds up anticipation. Roll Eyes

"30 - that must be FS? generally it's 0"15-0"20, I think, on those tracks where you you need to do it. Those where you don't do it are KD, MR, DK, YV. I don't do it on TT, either, but that's stupid, I think. (I tend to be stupid in strat matters, so don't listen too much to what I say sometimes Wink

.) WS and RRo are special cases. It is faster on lap 2 there, too, but ... .

I jumped from #149 to like #117 or something in a week or two, and as soon as I cut down my LR and MMF times a bit, I should be able to hit top 100. I'm also going to push very hard on BC flap, I want a god there, since I just randomly cut 0"2, with much more room for improvement.

I have been trying to get all my times in the top 200, and last night I hit one hundredth before Elite A, then on the next run I hit one hundredth before King F. This has happened about 15 times. Anyone else run into this?
