there is nothing wrong with that corner cut at the end. It is perfectly legal for this leaderboard at least. You dont even have to hit anything or do anything special, just shroom and jump. Is it easy, no but I think if we banned it then people would also want the DK Summit corner cut to be banned.

It is legal for the purposes of this thread, and the general rules regarding shortcuts.

There was an Australian at the time whos name began with A, who I got on rivals on the day the glitch was found, with 1:44 something, I remember it as 1:44:4xx but I may be wrong.

I just found out something very useful in Mushroom Gorge. You can do the shortcut in the very beginning without a mushroom with the Flame Runner and Spear! All you need to do is jump over the little patch of grass right before it and make sure you land in the middle of the first mushroom so you go high enough to reach the second mushroom. It is actually pretty easy. I can do it on average 1/3 times with the Flame Runner. This can save a lot of time.

Question is...is it faster to use 2 Shrooms on lap 1 so you can take the cut at the end w/o losing momentum or is it better to use Shrooms elsewhere? I never TT'd GV the way it was supposed much at all so yea, I don't know the Shroom spots >_>'

I'll be editting in a faster flap I'm sure in just a few....keep hitting that damned rock =(

So it seems that it isn't faster. Also I downloaded a rivial ghost on my alt with my pr on MG hoping for a decent 1:45.xxx but got some noob who took 1:45 to do the glitch. I was sincerely disappointed.

That cuts off a huge chunk of the track and you actualy have to bounce off a rock with a shroom to use it. On the other hand the corner cutter at the end of the lap is just a shroom and jump through midair that doesnt even cut off that much track.

Voila you have your non shorcut top 10
