Koopa Cape shroomspot

Anybody else have trouble with this?
I can only make it about half of the time, it usually slows me down and drifts me to the big shell.
Any help?

I get the exact same problem...you mean like after the shroomspot you go into the water then get dragged towards the right?
I get that too, i dunno why.

After shrooming, you're supposed to stay to the very left of the river, and make a harder right turn later so you don't get pulled in towards the shell. That's what I do at least.

if you're having a lot of difficulty with it you can use the shroomspot at the very end of the lap- across that waterfall

Speaking of difficult shroomspots, has anyone figured out if going over the jump after the shroom on Retro MR is actually faster? I watched the old WR ghost (1'45") and it was driven going right of the jump while Tanzer's new WR was driven going over the jump. The problem though is that Tanzer's driving was a lot cleaner and I think he would have beat the old ghost without using the jump. Has anyone actually done a close study of whether or not going over that jump is faster? And, if so, has anyone figured out how much faster?

I kind of tried to check the difference. I raced Tanney's ghost and was in front of him until the shroom. After that I was behind (so lost like 0"2 - 0"3) but that might be because I just suck at it!?
After trying the way Tanney/Tanzer uses I got flap WR though
and almost 3lap but well... no proof for this theory

taking the jump is definitely faster. best without is 9xx whilst my best with it is 6xx atm. im sure it can go low 34 aswell.

I'm sorry to bump this topic, but after 2 hours, I finally found the answer at the KC shroomspot. Just try to shroom a bit earlier, stay as much
to the right
as possible and wheelie. It's easier than I thought
