i use GC but am starting to get an urge to try the wiimote + 'chuck combo....

EDIT: just tried it out and i beat an older pr by over 4 seconds in only a couple tries...my only dislike is that it didn't register my wiimote shake sometimes to do a trick and if you shake it too hard it cancels the wheelie when you attempt to do one, other then that i am starting to fall in love with it

I'm new, but I've been reading topics since I got MKWii about a week ago.

I started with the wheel since I was just learning the game and doing GP, but after a longer effort (about 4-5 hours one evening) my thumb was damned sore from pressing that tiny-ass 2-button.  I seriously had a bruise the following morning.  It's also frustrating when the drift goes the wrong way, or I jerk for a trick/wheelie and my steering is shot to hell.  So last night I tried the GC controller and after a few tries while still shaking by habit (and mixing up item/wheelie buttons), I found it was immensely better than the wheel.

I haven't tried the chuck, but if that makes it easier to trick/wheelie without loss of steering, I certainly may.
