I think SCs are alright as long as it's not a glitch. It's maybe not intended by Nintendo but they didn't change it to be impossible either. Did they want us to cut the last corner of MG? Would be the same.

I think there won't be that much SCs like this.

Allow things like these means any option for a faster time won't be listed as a SC neiter right!!
You can compair it like YV on the MK64... Thats Allow 2 as a NON-sc time.

If there might be more SC like these maybe there needs to come a SC chart.. Can't wait to buy it!
(I still need to by this game myself Iguess end of the month April)

dont allow! a SC is an SC period. regardless of how much time it saves. and whats been the rule of thumb in the past with ALL unnatural SCs in mariokart! in every player page they have been banned. why should this be an exception. let the nintendo leaderboards have the SCers and we will maintain our dignity by having non-SC times.

I don't see why it should matter if it was "meant to be there". How do any of us know whether or not some routes were meant to be taken? Regardless of what Nintendo intended, that cut is going to be used.

Meh, I think it should be allowed. I don't like restrictions. We should keep track of the fastest times.

We had so much bs going on in MKDS because they didn't allow PRB from the start. There's nothing like PRB in this game (probably not, anyway). Just allow the darn shortcut.
