The site is now up and running so this will turn into a list of development ideas as well as the usual.

So far the ideas are:
1) To show which kart/bike and driver was used for each WR (similar to MKDS).
2) To translate the News into different languages and to try and keep any humour.
3) To link to a player's video if he has one. Some sort of small hyperlink icon beside his time (both in their profile and on the charts).
4) Add Friend Codes to peoples profiles
5) What do you guys think about adding the mii name next to the real name in parentheses on our site rankings? For example: Mark Jones (my_mii_name)
6) To build and implement a good tournament page where players can easily set up and invite people to tournaments.

I don't know if there is a sufficient reason to have translated news, but translating the FAQs and important pages and whatnot would be good. Listing the used karts/bikes in the charts would be good, but yeah, the only reason there should be separate charts for bikes and karts would be if the game saved them separately. Even then, there is no need for it. Keeping it simple as the other sites would be good for the most part.

I could do French easily but, like Robin, I would only be willing to do FAQ's, Rules, etc. News updates would be a pain to translate for the amount of people that would actually read it.

Yeah, I also think that: news are very difficult to translate, because it require a big synchronization to do it quickly. So Faq's, rules, etc... is enough.
At the moment Robin says that he can translate into Japanese, Benoit into French, Michele (I suppose) into Italian and me into Spanish. With another one who translate it into German will be perfect no?
