Here's my 2 cents:

it looks great and after adjusting to the game play it might be a game I would be play more often (I hope), but.........

I sure as hell don't understand why this game is lacking:
- a speedmeter (I miss it from MKDD)
- a table where you can see your TT-scores
- a time indication with a replay

And did Nintendo secretly gave out free Wii MK copies to Japanese players a month ago??? C'mon euro-guys, give them hell.

Not without a mushroom. The grass slows you down far more than before. Taking the included N64 courses as an example, it's now much faster to go around the grass at the bottom of the stairs on Bowser's Castle. On Mario Raceway, the shroom each lap is now used to cut inside the giant mushroom (whose gap is much larger than I remember...), and for the rest of that course you stay on the road. No cutting across the grass at the beginning, no cutting across the grass before the sand, no cutting across the sand, and no cutting across the grass on the last turn.

Okay I finally checked some videos out and saw the N64 and GC tracks, wow it is so not the same anymore, they made it a lot easier on mario Raceway, what huge gaps, it is impossible to go off road on SL and DKJP. Bowser castle, wtf with the zippers and moving bridges. Yeah it sucks that you can´t view your laps on replay. Very dissapointed with this game. You have to finish the godamn race to view the time you got.

What about hitting a coconut on DKJP, crashing against a thwomp on BC, a penguin on SL, can you still get a replay?

So I was drunk last night... and I played MKWii the first time.. I played a random wifi matches. and Iacopo joined, which I guess it is the famous Iacopo Sorce.. Later on Alvaro joined a match, could be the Alvaro from this community. Just a couple of random matches and played them against probably 2 known karters. Its a small world....
