Nicely done Paul

You had a good strategy. I spent my whole race only doing MTs for the whole track. The kart turned too much and I didn't gain any time, so I tried turning in the opposite direction from my slide and it simply cancelled the drift, which is kind of lame. This game really doesn't want you to use MTs anyhwhere other than a corner!
The worst part for me was that the organizers were assholes, and refused to let me have another go, even although the queue was only small.

That's Glasgow for you. I should have just got right on a train to Edinburgh but due to the 'no intoxication' rule I had little motivation. Playing video games is very boring to me when I'm straight.
This time Nintendo seem to have gone out of their way to remove SSMT and I must say that the handling in this game feels like a step backwards from MKDD and MKDS. Almost like SMK handling. I know it can't be certain until we have played the game for some time, but it looks like SSMT is actually gone, at least it won't save any time to do it. The MT only builds when you turn into your slide. If you turn too much in the opposite direction the slide is actually cancelled.

Stunts and wheelies might be used instead but that is no substitute for SSMT

I hope that I just picked a bad kart (I used Koopa in his standard kart) and there are others in this game which will get the sparks easily enough for SSMT.
