Didn't gain/lose any time. Much like clipping the wall on the TF 2nd corner (some of the TAS runs do this).

Hmm, well he must have "gained time" in that sense that at least he took the turn really really tight Tongue

Full diagonal movement is the only real advantage the Wheel can ever give. I can kind of see how it might help with that SC, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes.

all controllers in this game are all capable of the same actions, guaranteed.  Some things are just easier for humans though.

No they're not, Rhode. The Wii Wheel has a different range of motion that allows for more of a diagonal angle.

Look at it like this. All controllers move within that circle. The Wii Wheel, however, can move anywhere within the square. Now do you understand?

Explain me how none of the TAS'es use Wii Wheel mode, then. Since it should have that obvious advantage, it should be granted right ?

If that was true then as Mick said, Wii Wheel would be hands down the best choice for any TASr to use.

It's quite simply much harder to do. There has actually been a TAS tool for Wii that gives full range of motion like the Wii Wheel that came out IIRC, but none of the TASers have bothered to use it.

Pretty sure Dasher posted a video of it, and I think Alaktorn may have mentioned it a few times. I personally don't know where to find it.

Oh, I always thought the TAS input was only GCN-possible inputs, but I just checked and it looksl ike it might actually work

If this tool does exist then MG SC should certainly be attempted using it.

Having the dot on the corner of the square vs having the dot at the edge of the circle does nothing different to the bike at all.   Smiley

I assume full diagonal movement is relevant on courses where you have much air time only (like MG glitch or glitches in general). On flat courses like MC3 you won't need anything but the left-right-range.
