MKSC proof call
01/29/08 at 07:10:59
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All MK:SC players, please read:
Since the site re-launch many players have been active and set some great times. We are pleased to see that the vast majority of these times have been well documented by their respective players and hosted on video streaming sites or in Michael Fried’s extensive video archives. This does not only give you the benefit of basking in the unbridled praise of other devoted players, it also proves beyond reasonable doubt that you did indeed drive these times, and promotes your proof status on the ranking to a green tick, which means you are fully proven. Although we have no reason not to trust any of our top players, some of their videos are not currently at the level of their ability. Some videos are dated, and updated videos will be welcome.
What does this mean?
If you are a player who has been setting several new times, many of which rank at the top of our charts, and don’t have video proof of your times or your ability, it may be time to produce some.
The same may apply to those of you who do not have a consistently top-ranked set of times, but a few yet high chart peaks.
Those of you in the top 20 with proof that dates more than 30 days back are requested to provide new proof. Please provide it in the form of PRs (Ideal for WR and times of a similar calibre.) or close calls. (If you can’t quite replicate the record, a time very close to your personal best may suffice.) In some cases, a time scroll of your course top times may be enough proof for now. The necessary degree of proof will be the site staff’s informed decision to make, and we ask that you respect their judgement. No one is out to get anyone.
Those of you who have provided video proof in the past 30 days are exempt from this proof call, but please continue recording and sharing achievements to maintain this situation.
The proof deadline is set to March 20th 2008.
If you have any questions and would like to correspond directly with me or another appointed member of the community on these matters, please contact mkschelp@gmail.com
Good Luck
