This makes me wonder. If MKSC had the same kind of online wi-fi play like MKDS or MKW, what would be the optimal character to use? Would you still use Bowser, or would you prefer a character with a slightly lower top speed and higher acceleration?

I always use Luigi tbh. I first played as him and now he's the only one I can really control.  Tongue

I use Bowser for TTs exclusively and usually pick Mario or Luigi for GPs

It's far too easy to forget what it's like to be a kid. But one secret to happiness is to be able to pick out links to our childhood in the mundanities of adult life. That's why I love Mario Kart. Whether I'm imagining wading through frosting in Sweet Sweet Canyon to take a bite of that giant donut, or picturing myself, shrunken down, making my way through Waluigi's pinball machine, there's something rejuvenating about the game that provides a nice reminiscence of the halcyon days gone by.

This makes me wonder. Would it be possible to play online through emulators? It would be fun in my opinion Smiley

Maybe? Is there a way to hook up a DS to the computer and run emulator software to it, or at least use the controls on the DS on the emulator screen? Then it'd just be a matter of having an emulator that has online multiplayer connectivity, right? I'm not at all tech-savvy about this sort of thing.  Smiley

This wasn't exactly a feature, the cell phone adapter was for trading ghosts.

Like you said, someone would have to build an emu to support that function but you could at least play it on a DS with a flash card.  If Nintendo really wanted to, they could have implemented something with the wii u virtual console version.  I guess we could always construct extremely long link cables because at least that works.
Also, character choice isn't really important when there's a wall at the starting line! Smiley
