Hello SMK'ers,

I had my first encounter with SMK in over a decade today. (aside from playing on an emulator once or twice).

When one of my friends learned that I play mario kart (mkdd) he immediatly said: "Oh yeah, well I can kick your ass in smk! I challenge you!". So we played a little VS mode at first. Unfortunatly, one of my very, very old controllers kept pausing the game for no reason. With only one fonctional controller, we decided to play a little TT. Looking through his times, I was pretty impressed. I didn't know what a "good" time was but all his times were not far apart. For example, MC1 was like #1- 1'06"2x and #5- 1'06"7x.

Anyways, FIRST TRY I beat his best time. He tried to beat my ghost a couple of times but then gave up and he was pissed! Grin

I got MC1: 1'06"12 & 12"08

first two laps were 14"xx but once I got the hang of it my last 3 laps were a bit better (12"5x or lower, including the 12"08 flap)

I felt like sharing that with you guys

It was so satisfying got both boosts to work pretty efficiently for a 1'12"87. I got behind the ghost but hit a good last lap and passed him. Out of all the courses, I think the art of improvisation is needed most on VL2, even when driving on very high level. I love that Anyway my latest PR: BC3 flap NBT 17"71* (contained a 75 in the same race )

Just feeling comfortable with adjusting the cart for the 2nd corner Hm, I think I simply didn't dare to get too close to the waterside in first corner yet
