EDIT: It has been clarified that this was on SNES Mini as they were not aware that it was globally NTSC. This was also assumed by many before, so no problem and will wait for the rest of the timeset.

Hi everyone!

I am trying to beat the 5-lap WR here to extend my yearly PAL WR streak for 1 more year. I am not sure how many more years I will be able to keep that up, but hopefully there is still enough time left in 2023 at least. I missed 1 boost in this current run (lap 3 of course). With slightly more aggressive driving and no big mistakes it does appear just about doable. Interestingly, this obsoletes one of my few remaining pre 2010 PRs. Before the current grind I had a 1'01"51 from 2009. My GV1 flap is even older; that is in fact my second oldest PR after VL2 5-lap (those are both from 2007). Anyway, I also tied that 12"08 flap this grind, which is extra relevant because it is one of my missing PR videos. This pushes me to 75/80 PR videos (I know Guilherme recently got 80/80 and I would love to join him there!).

I was looking to push GV1 further, but then my gaming time got put on hold because of the F-Zero 99 announcement....we'll see when my next moves in SMK will be lol.
