My two last PAL PRs were both set in August (2014 and 2016) and were WRs, just like my last PAL opener PR (2015). Well, let's keep it this way…

CI1 (PAL) –
10"48* NBT
This one was driven yesterday afternoon as a result of a one-try session in front of Anthony Pichard who wanted to watch me playing one (in the middle of our huge multiplayer session). He shared his experience from visiting ScouB and that gave motivation to play CI1 (but only CI1). Honestly, I was very, very lucky to get the 2nd boost (the bumper series one) because I didn't manage to perform the first FB. The final boost doesn't use the "official" strat and I really think we can win time this way with a great releasing gas part, which is what I've actually done there. It might be beaten by a good margin but I don't care, I know have a "ex-SC" f-lap in the 10"4x and I'm good with it.
Farewell, good old "unbeatable" 10"55 WR… as a tribute this is my only beaten PR (I mean, by myself) that will stay on my YouTube channel. I always delete them but this one deserves to stay.
Then, I didn't even leave the track and decided to complete my "new strat" experience on CI1. As first I didn't feel the need to do it, but playing the flap with success made me want to have all my 4 PAL/NTSC PRs this way. As usual, I don't like playing for anything but WRs so…
CI1 (PAL) –
54"18* NBT
That one took me ages. Maybe around two hours, I thought I would do this easily but it's terribly hard to get a consistent run there. I first hit a 54"34 as a first official PR with this strat, but being 0"04 away from the WR kinda irritated me. I'd have been happier with the first sub there (my lap 4 & 5 splits are lame and I know I could have hit it), but I guess I'll be OK with that for now.
It was not even meant to be a "birthday session" (I was crowned PAL champion after a Choco Island PR already, on CI2 though, on the August 5
th update in 2013!), but it ended a very symbolic way with that 5-lap that was not meant to be such a big AF cut. I thought I was #3 there behind Karel and Scoub, but forgot Banjo had beaten me with the new strat and didn't remember at all that Neo had an old good SC PR. Well, that's a 0.125 cut for the week, plus a win on Karel… oops

For the WR history site: the 10"48 f-lap was driven yesterday (August 5) and the 5-lap today, and it's the only one I achieved (previous and only other PR of the day being 54"34).
