I hope, I understood most of your post ( my english.....).
Okay.
I didnīt want to say that all rules are bad. I totally agree, (maybe) the most are absolutely right. But still, there are rules that makes no sense to me, like the two in Fenners post (YD and BP).
By just watching the pics I think that is randomness and not a decisions that makes any sense.
Imo cutting corners is part of the game. It is hard to say what is a SC, what is corner cut (well lap skip is easy to see...).
So still double bumper hit on BP is not allowed. And still to me it makes no sense, because the driving line is nearly the same as the allowed part, it is just faster because of the air time.

Once more, thanks for your answer Andreas and welcome back
(last time I made a post about the imo senseless CCI flap rule, and you came out of nowhere. You waited just for my post to come back :d)

I almost felt arsed to say something about the rule confusion lately until Andreas posted. Grin

We have gone over some of these issues in the past.  Probably worth updating the rules page to make the allowed routes/strats clearer for the newer folks.  Anything that keeps people from sending in banned times and the hassle of having to replay them is definitely for the best.

If I were to propose a change (outside of any additions necessary), it would be to have the pictures visible on the page, instead of linked. DP3 should definitely be accompanied by a picture, and some should perhaps be redrawn somehow, while using the same colour denotations for paths. No disrespect to the effort behind those already in place, but it would be convenient to avoid questions such as: Does the blue line mean you have to use a boost? What does a green line mean? Does MS Paint run out of red colour after drawing 17 pictures?

The text (What's already there or something better.) should perhaps follow below.

part of the reason that the BP route was banned is because if you look at the track you actually start driving backwards (lakitu often pops up) in order to hit the bumper to land on the last straight.

I considered the abuse of a bumper by driving backwards sc and not fitting with the concept of the site which is non-sc and as andreas so well put, about driving forwards and shaving times by good driving.

idk...some of my shroomspots are so bizarre (ex. RMC3, RMC4, RBC3, YD, SL), it's confusing

Mick said to me that both of them are banned:
16"80 is clearly banned (I changed it to Shortcut atm) & 17"32 is borderline (to me it's close to unknown)...

The "FLAP" strat is a tad off but it may help some people subbing 10"7x.  Seb scores 10"32, Mick scored 10"33 and Yunus scored 10"36

I called the red strat "Fenner" (I would've named it "Barbetta") because I use it to sub 38"xx and score at least a Hero time or better.  Me, Smolen and others did this I think...I know I did Smiley
The orange strat is "Hirano" aka, WR strat.  Seb, Hirano (duh!), Su & Ethan (of course) mastered the orange strat with no problem!  I'll use this soon and try to master it with at least 34"69 before Ethan does Smiley

FLAP MAX: <10"29
EASY MAX: <36"39
HARD MAX: <34"29

Can somebody give me some tips on spotting when to jump/slide towards the first zipper in CL for that mt? Having trouble making the jump without shrooming.

Terrence, the best time with the easy strategy is 36"15 (by ホームラン), and I bet I could bring it below 36 within 2 hours.  Smiley Oh and the best TAS would likely to be able to pull off on RR is 34"35, and even that is pushing it. Thing is, Sebastian's splits are quite literally perfect, unless there is a way to do those TAS ZZMT's while in the zipper boost, staying at a higher speed, which I doubt is possible. Another thing is that Seb's splits all hug the wall at the end, which would slow down the next lap, so even sub 34"40 might be impossible, as you have to stay in the middle for the optimal SC on lap 2/3.

The times highlighted in the Worldwide top 10 are the ones that use the easy strategy:

You just need to release the MT before and use this boost to go further and hit the bumper.

HOHOHOHOHOHO!!! Having trouble there Andrea?  Grin

Anyways, the idea is that you have to do a waterslide in the shallow water before the gap, then jump as late as possible onto the deep water. In addition, you need to be at an angle when you jump on the deep water (but not too much or you'll sink) and bounce a couple times while heading for the gap. In takes a bit of practice, but it is possible. The 2 shrooms afterwards are quite simple (I'm sure you've watched a vid by now so you know where to fire them).

Also: new SGB flap strat: After the bumper, do the waterslide on the left side, immediately after it do another to still have more speed than normal, then jump over the deep water. Had several tries now with bad shrooms, but still finished everything under 12"50 (GOD). Will post a vid when I get 3 good shrooms Cheesy
