I know this is hardly going to be of any relevance to the topic, so please forgive that I'll post for personal reasons.

Clark, are those retorts meant to enlighten me, help/educate me, insult me, amuse me, or just plain confuse me?

Also I did not say that most of the veterans posted crap. I said that most of the posts that would make my visit on this forum an unpleasant one come from members who are either quite respected by many, or have been around for a little while.
Simon, please put down the theasaurus for a second.
Actually, the reason I asked was because you tell me to "lighten up" (I guess that's what you meant this time as well by saying that my views originate from the
dark ages

) basically any time I express my opinion on something. Metaphorically, you are like a spine in my back. Can't we just agree to disagree in the end, or will you continue to act like I broke one of the fundamental laws underlying the post-modern way of life, next time I write my opinion on something?
Yes, I guess you're right when saying I can be very susceptible in certain situations, especially where disrespect comes into play. But, to put it simple, I think it's because respect is an important value for me, and I feel it is an even more valuable quality on a place like this MB, where people cannot truly pretend to know each other very well.
Finally, the reason I said that, if any, it was posts made by some of the more respected members that I found most unpleasant to come across, well the reason I said that was not to shed light on those people, or on my suffering for this matter.

(I think I suffer more from the fact that, unlike many karters, I don't fancy video games, sports and competition a whole lot, but that's an entirely different matter of course) Anyway, I just wanted to counter the wide-spread argument that MKDS kiddies is the sole group responsible for the current atmosphere on our MB. We all contribute to that atmosphere ultimately. Really, if it just depended on everyone's personal inclination, anyone could get banned from the MB, for reasons that would possibly prove to be very diverse and arbitrary.
I apologize if the way I've phrased certain things sounded pretentious; I can assure you it was not my intent. You know that I naturally like to write in a (pseudo?)-elaborate manner.
