Keep in mind that could take a couple hundred hours, and it would be less time available for Melee, and this game will drive you nuts.

Ah Etch, if you're having trouble with that, I developed a semi-consistent method back in 2013 when I hit my first (and only) 3/3. Don't fully remember what it is though...

I do know that if you hold back and press B you will instantly fall into the water instead of bouncing, and that is very useful for aligning yourself. Good luck with 3/3! I hope to eventually come back and take this WR. My run was much stronger than ryou's, who is just barely off the WR. He just got lucky lap 3 and landed on the brick when he sank down (makes you get picked up instantly, saves 1 second at least). Will be working to land on the brick 3/3 when I get back to this shitty course. Been semi-working on getting SG SC WR and RP SC WR. Crashed what would have been a 17"xx-18"xx RP run by not hitting the final lapskip.

I pulled a marathon session on BC2 last night since I found the zone...

This course has long perplexed me but I'm finally starting to get a feel for it. Best opener has been a 20"0x followed by 19"7x's. Ah, the quest for 3 nice laps but my consistency here has improved shit loads haha.

With a bad strat, that flap sub was extremely satisfying!

Some food for thought...

KB2 - Using a shroom, is it possible to wrap around off the bumper and skip a lap like the Choco Islands?

I thought I landed perfectly on the American ROM exiting left but nothing. From what I understand, the finish line can't go all the way through the wall. I'm not sure if this would work on the Japanese ROM since a similar problem occurs on DP3. Whatever the case, it's better to rule it out than spend hours mindlessly looping around in the air.

I was also curious about LP flap, mike89 posted about his brother mark94 getting 2"41 and eventually 0"30. The archive doesn't explain why he reverted this record back to Simon C's 2"43. Was this just bullshit or actually a feasible strategy for which no proof was provided?

I can try testing with TAS.

I tried the KB2 thing for a bit in 2012 or so but to no avail, granted I've never tried it on the Japanese ROM.

I could see a 2"41 being possible on LP (granted the best I've ever done with TAS is 2"43). As for a 00"30... I'm not sure. Maybe if you water bounced onto the wall? Sounds like a load of shit tbh.

The usual suspects were exchanging world records and gaining points but it was mostly the Sam F and konradh show. Both of them hit loads of top times nearly launching them inside the top 10! They also managed to grab some untied WR's along the way. I'm sure we'll see more nice times and records this year but it's not getting any easier!

I say we hold a vote on whether or not to remove Konrad from the rankings. He's been under heavy suspicion on multiple games for over a year now, and has given absolutely no real proof. Every time he has been questioned, his response is "I will next time I log on," and he then proceeds to disappear for months at a time, then appear with more amazing times. This Rainbow Road flap is the nail on the coffin for any benefit of the doubt that I was still giving him.

Calling it now, this guy hasn't submitted a single legitimate time to Cyberscore for MKSC, and likely not for any other MK game. Either he gives us video proof, a LIVE recording that proves he can race at such a high level, or he is permanently removed. Already had to deal with this nonsense enough times between Fenner and MKW, and I will not stand for it anymore. Zero tolerance for those who would take us for fools and tarnish the rankings.
