I don't want to get this all going on but I want to give my insight. take it or leave it.

Maybe some things have to be addapted. maybe some rules! IMO campaigning itself regardless how you do it, influences the match.
If you allow campaigning in the first place the way how you do it should not be a problem. either Accept it or either decline campaigning. As we now know from this practical situation the campaigning gets out of hand. Maybe we should disallow. On the other hand it cannot really be disallowed because campaigning can be done in any form. Like posting a nice picture on the ugly mug or creating a topic about something is in principle the same as campaigning.

I also see things like this happen. Some inactive karter or some karter who isn't on the board that day cannot make a campaign and might lose lots of votes.  Tom actually didn't do anything wrong with his campaign with the boobs. it was very smart but on the other hand: Did the matchup had the same outcome if there wern't a campaign at all? In the case for mark and Marius, both could and have campaigned.
But think about someone else who is popular but not often on the board or maybe inactive. Would MJ have lost if Lacey didn't posted the crazy pic with Peach? allthough it seemed very innocent it might have affected the true situation if there weren't such a smart or funny campaign.

And yes I admit even I got seduced by some campaignes. For some people I had initially the idea to vote for that person, but some good campaigning and activity on the board changed my decission some times.
Sometimes it made me like well I can't vote, so I don't while I had initially the idea to vote for my favourite. So all this affected the way to vote for some people. the voters themself might not even realize it.

I understand both Tom and Marius. Marius wanted to have a fair match without annoying or smart campaigning and not PM's. Tom on the other hand couldn't care because in his opinion campaigning is smart and a good strategy to win a match (which he used tactical in the matchup versus Mark). For Tom this al is as fair as a match without. Just think about it as an outsider and you can undestand both of them a bit. Its like choosing a color to paint your house with and you partner wants a different color then you, the result is a fight. Somehow this was the most exciting match and I was really excited after I woke up to check the MB for the result and I guess many other people had the same. Maybe thats how the feeling exciting works. It needs action like this.

The only FACT was that he was cussing me. Fact which he denies and you could prove. Fact which is also what separates his behaviour from mine and justified my pm.

My point stands if nothing happens to Moly for his actions. Then it leaves the door wide open.

Regardless of what you or I consider to be bad sportmanship there were no rules laid out as to was or was not allowed in terms of campaigning. Moly had a consistent lead on you all day and would have won regardless of anything you guys posted in those topics. You (and others) may not like the fact that he beat you just as some people may not like the fact that you beat me - but the results are final and since there were no rules laid out as to what was and was not allowed then there are no grounds by which to disqualify someone.

I only flamed you, because you didnt stop making topics in which you were begging for votes. I CLEARLY explained you BEFORE our match, that i DONT want vote begging, a FAIR match.

Voted Marius and Cooper.  2nd match was hard because Finn is awesome, but Cooper is awesome and active here so he got my vote.

PLUS he is a mid-ranked on the MKDD site and I once was just 1 place ahead of him  
but I think you're more well known at MK64, just as Finn.
but Finn is not multi-known (only on MK64 and the , well that does'nt really count , MB)
Cooper is ,at MKDD ,MK64 and... another game. dunno. and the MB , of course.
so all things Finn is known at PLUS some other games too.
