I voted for David Wonn.
I know Paul fairly well, and I've known David for several years and shared many great gaming experiences with him.
I respect Paul for playing 4 out of 5 kart games and being MKDD World Champion early on for a brief while. Being first to get 32/32 GOD times in MKDD is also admirable. He obviously has wonderful karting skills.
What I really like is that he has supplied many vids to help others learn the strats better. It's always good to see the top players giving back to the community and helping the newcomers. And I'll always remember him as one of the three guys (along with Michael Liem and Mark Jones) who managed the last karter contest in 2004. He did very well in that contest and I expect him to do well this time also.
David Wonn deserves his props for creating a majority of the kart SCs in 1997 (before I even started playing). Wonn gave back to the community and others with his glitches website that shares all of his noteworthy discoveries. His SC findings and level of intelligence are amazing.
I used to sit at the computer back in 1999 and talk to David for hours. We'd talk about potential SCs and such, and then we'd both get the urge to play at the same time and we'd be like, "hey, let's both go play for an hour and see if any of us can get the SC to work first." Then we'd come back to the computer and talk about our SC attempts from the previous session and such. Man, I'd like to do that again sometime.
Hah, and we both agreed that lighting up a room with exploding mines in Goldeneye 007 was an awesome experience...it used to send chills down both of our spines.

The main reason why I voted for David though, back in September of 1999, shortly after I became the first person to land the spiral on Rainbow Road, Wonn told me he wouldn't be around to play as much in the near future and he said I was worthy of being the main SC creator in his place. And then he said, "I'm passing the SC torch on to you." A week or two after that, I landed the MyleStyle SC for the first time. It is one of the greatest honors of my career that David chose me to carry on his work.
In most matches, I would vote for Paul because I really like the guy and I've had a lot of good times with him in the MSN chats. As expected, Paul won this match and I'm happy for him, but I voted for David to show loyalty and appreciation more than anything.
