I'm not sure where this is supposed to go but here goes..

after reading what alex submitted in the "fun stuff" thread (http://bash.org/?top) I was thinking that it would fun to have some sort of similar system that would rate people's posts/discussions.

So then we would have a page that highlights the top rated posts/discussions of all time. Fun read! But maybe the juice isn't worth the squeeze for this one I dunno..

The-Elite.net have a chatroom they often congregate in, and have their own Quote Database that works very similarly to bash. But we're more message-board oriented than chatroom oriented, so I'm not sure how things should work.
If you intend for board readers to be able to +/- individual posts, that might involve heavy modification of the MB software (unless there are prepared patches by Yabb group). If it's just some separately-maintained page that links to funny MB posts, that might be more manageable (links to the original post might get messed up if messages are deleted from the topic after it is published).

When great/funny/epic topics fade out, Mod's can choose to put (or copy?) it in there for our viewing pleasure.

Well that's the sketchy part, I could suggest by a vote of the members, but from what I understand we would like to keep out of that as much as possible.. so I dunno really, does anyone have a suggestion?

I mean it has to be something funny like The Ultimate CHALLENGE where it got a very funny response. I'm not really part of mk64 but I thought that was super funny when I read it. I remember that My girlfriend is hotter than yours was pretty funny too. There must be a whole bunch of better ones if we look a little.
