Try the non a-tech strat, basically right MT, sidewaysboosted right MT, shroom into the corner (so you bonk the wall), left MT, etc

should be enough for an 8.7

for a sideways boost you hold the direction of the corner/MT when you release it. So in this case you hold right. And no, you don't have to release A.

The frustrating part is that I still can't get hero times on tracks like LC, Muc, Mac or even Exp A on Yoshi and DKM

On my second run on PB i got a 22"795 laptop and an annoying 1:11:281 3lap
