Well 2 new prs today.

BP 1'04'238 wasn't enough to beat Marijn, but i beat Kouider. (60hz of course)   i fucked up the last 2 laps pretty bad, it could have been 1'04'0xx.....

And RR 2'55'912. Best splits are now 58'712 57'862 57'862  

This was the best i can do in 2 hours.

well you can probably beat my 2 lap, but good luck beating my flap, that's a bit tougher. And yeah theoretically i should be able to do a much better flap, but the one shroomer was also kind of a fluke, i nailed the r-tech there.

Your best 1 shroom is 57'8? Man i think your first lap is way better than your one shroomer personally lol.

Just played some YC. Got a 1'47"761 3 lap and a 35"256 1 shroom flap which is included in my 3 Lap PR. Iam going to make a decent flap with 2 shrooms.

My goal for now is to get every time placed at #300 or better. Should be possible in the next couple days.

Satisfied with this, but i still feel like i can push it lower. I'm using one MT for the right side of the pool, and the other for that final set of stairs. I remember Konsta was using the second shroom into the final sharp turn, but i always feel like my lines for that part aren't bad enough to warrant the shroom, especially in the moment.

I've also been hitting a lot of low 33" laps on laps 2/3, but that PR hasn't come yet. I think it's mostly due to the trouble i have on those stairs after the pool, and the moving tables. :\

Edit: Had a look at the video. I didn't remember the 2nd shroom on the flap being used as early as it was. I thought it was a couple seconds later, into the last corner. I'll need to try it this way. I'm also not using my first shroom anywhere near as early.. it looks hard.

I'm usually recording when i play this game.. but i don't think anyone cares to see, because i don't have the sorta skills you guys have (a lot of active posters happen to be brilliant players). Another reason is i always feel like i can do better. Then again, maybe showing a few videos can help you guys help me a little.

I'm back which means more random PRs!

MCT: 31.886 (Titan C, ~#85)

I played BP briefly at the start but then got bored so I switched to MCT, which I hadn't played in a couple months. I saw potential for a PR after maybe 15 minutes, so kept playing and went for both the 3lap and flap. It took two hours for me to PR, but I am happy with this flap. I kept failing runs at the end because of my MT strat, and this was the first 100% clean lap I drove. No big mistakes, but I do have low 31.8 potential  The session also yielded a best split 33.05 opener and a low 32.6 1-shroom. The opener was nice but the 1-shroomer was pretty sloppy and can go .2 lower. I should be able to get Hero B for the 3lap; it would make me overall Expert A and give me a grand total of 0 Hero C times

EDIT: 32 more standards till Hero...

MCT: 1:38.265 (Hero B, ~#110)

After I got sone consistency this only took half an hour. The splits were about 33.10/32.55/32.61, and laps 1 and 3 each had a missed MT Lap 2 might have had one too, but I can't remember. Best splits are 33.05/32.45x2=1:37.95, so I will probably try a bit more. A 1:38.15 Hero A should be good enough.

EDIT2: Or I could just play and see what happens...


MCT: 1:37.384 (Titan C, ~#85)

After trying a bit more I realized another Titan was within reach. I soon hit a 1:37.89, splits 32.8/32.4/32.6. It wasn't far from Titan so I tried again, and a few tries later I got it with 1:37.75, splits 33.0/32.4/32.3 It was a decent race, but I knew it could go lower. Maybe an hour later, this PR completely shocked me. I didn't think a Titan C was possible, but a new 1-shroom best split helped me get it. 32.79/32.42/32.17, laps 1 and 3 were great and 2 was decent although it might have had a missed MT. My best splits now give 1:37.00 (32.66/32.17), but my PR was a very lucky race. I'll improve the flap here then move on. My ARR of played courses is now 11 flat, and my new long-term goal is...

@Koltz: hey, very nice time! As for A-Tech: when I "learned" it, I just drove hours and hours on PB at the first day, and it looked sooo crappy. In this week I was driving mainly on MB and MCT. I improved my PRs more and more as I got the feeling for A-Tech with every race. Just try it, don't give up, it should work from alone when you practise enough

That first lap.... Before this record, my top5 was probably the tightest one i've had in any mk xD (I had two .515 times)
My biggest gripe with this game is that most (by far) of my restarts and screw-ups in general are due to the MTs simply not registering. And pretty much all of those feel more like luck than me actually screwing up and I have no idea how to fix these. If anyone could check up on my vid (i'll post it in vid topic) and maybe see what my problem there is, then that would really be appreciated.

I am so bad, lol. My best splits do give sub 1:18 at least though.

Edit: I have heard of tho whole "each side must be held at least 6 frames" thing, but i'm not sure this is the cause for all of my screw-ups... Though I am worrying that it may be the reason for many of them
