Yeah, I don't understand why it's the least popular either. Granted there is the tree tricking thing and other glitch issues, but I think it otherwise plays really well. Plus, it has great tracks, and a lot of them.

I mean, I can understand why DD and DS are well loved, because the smooth framerate and 3D graphics really add to the gameplay. But better than 64 and SMK? Hmm, I dunno.

You just anwsered your own question. MKSC is a good game but comparing them to the other 4 it just falls short b/c of the ticking and glitch probs. All 5 are amazing games though and pwn 99% of the crap out their.

To be honest I haven't spent much time on 64 or SMK, but my impression has always been that they had some really serious SC and glitch issues as well.

My feeling is that MKSC has been ignored because its on a handheld, and most gamers prefer home consoles, by a wide margin. Handheld titles generally don't get the sales, handheld titles don't get the development time, handheld games tend to be played for shorter periods of time.

Excepting Pokemon, of course Wink

In any case, I'm glad to see this site up and running. I'm hoping to contribute stats in the coming weeks and months and years. It'll be a while until I'm any good though.

Reply #10 - 04/13/06 at 01:56:39 two reasons it was ignored by me.. 1) can't see any of the ghost valley type tracks on a normal gba.. thank god for ds (as sp for thos who have one) 2) the way the courses load in with that tacky power point slideshow style slits thing.. uuurggghhh cheap

Yeah, true enough. Super Circuit looks fabulous on a micro-- very crisp and clean and bright, you can see everything.

I recently imported a DSlite, and must say-- Super Circuit and MKDS look even better on that thing. You can practically play games in full sunlight. Wonderful.

It really makes me appreciate improvements in screen technology over the past 5 years. No more "worm lights"!
