Well, back in the old days, you'd use DK, drive through the grass, hard right and shroom into the tree.

You might be able to get away with plain shrooming through the gap as Bowser, I don't know.

My best 1-shroomer is done by luck, shrooming like in the following image (click to zoom):


I got the puddle and the shroom continued at max speed straight over the gap!
Despite the losing of control (after the gap) the time was good.
I dont think i will able to do that 3/3...

Yes, going into a puddle maintains your speed until you spin out, and is/was used at the last straight in a F-lap attempt.

I didn't know this shroom strat ! Shocked

My PR done yesterday (1'11"73) has the same driving than Japanese vids... by the way I use DK, try to do 3-4 boosts on the grass, and launch the shroom after last corner ! But with this puddle strat, I'll certainly change my shroom spot ! Roll Eyes
