You can see the ghost valley type courses much clearer on a DS, but an SP should be ok. GBA however is lighter and more comfortable. The easiest and probably best if you have the cash is to play on a GBA player for the GC with your GBA pad plugged into it.

A normal GBA, or a ds (no sp, that's too small for me) If you have a cube and GBplayer you can choose to play on the Cube too, that's totally ideal, but I dunno if it's allowed, for the different handling, bigger screen etc. And a handheld game has to be played by a handheld system imo...

The DS lite is supposed to be a really nice way to play GBA games-- it has the bright screen like the GBA micro, but a larger size that is more comfortable to hold.

Back when I was playing, all my times were on a regular GBA (which is because the SP wasn't even around back then, IIRC - not here anyway).

It was probably too dark though... I'd really appreciate playing it now on an SP.

When playing on the GBA player, you are using the GBA as a controller, so all it changes is the screen, really. I'm thinking of buying one, to finally make better use of my GC.

You CAN play with you GBA as a controller if you also have that GBA-GC connection cable. But if you want to it is not impossibe to use a GC controller on the GBP. (Ya, i have a GBP)

I've tested a lot of configurations:

-GBA --> too dark
-GBA SP --> very good, but a bit narrow for my hands.
-GBA PLAYER with GC controller --> hard to handle, i feel the shoulder buttons too big and slow.
-DS --> decent at the first time, very good after played MKDS for a couple of months.
-PC Emulator with PS2 dual shock --> it's like playing GBAPlayer with the GC controller but at least you have the savestates  Roll Eyes

IMO the best way to play is:
-GBA SP (the new with lighter screen) or DS lite

and, off course, the best way to cheat is:
-The PC Emulator with variable speed and savestates  Tongue

I'll play with the old DS until the DS lite will cost 80/90 euros
