Yes, it does. You use only the bottom screen for all GB Advance games. (Obviously) Because of the backlight, it's either a lot brighter than on the GBA, or a lot darker.

I'd have to say though, that I find the standard GBA much more convenient to play on, because of the better hold, and less awkward button layout.

I thought I was playing a different game when i played Ghost Valley on the DS. You can actually see the course.

Btw i've got a normal GBA not SP

The DS screen, although is letterboxed, is better than the SP one (and way better than the original GBA one).
The controls require some time to get the right feeling.

you can set up your ds to play gba games on either the top or bottom screen
