So is it top20 in GP or top20 overall cdm?

It is just for fun so it sounds like a great idea, lets do it. The only problem with it being GP but measured against the Overall is that there may be a fast GP player who might not have as high level on other modes, resulting in them snapping up a high-ish ranked GP player as well as their partner.

Or a player who was only there for GP and does really well to get in the Top 20 but then grabs one of the top seeds. The solution for this would be to only include those who played the whole CDM, though it would be a shame to not let them take part especially if they could only make it for a short time.

For example if Christian Wild repeats a similar performance as in 2016 (moreso if he reaches Quarters in GP this time narrowly missing out on Semi but drives exceptionally well, he and his partner may be dangerous contenders if his overall rank lands at 13th or 14th etc). There will be two solid drivers there, no guarantees for a win still though. But they will be one of the best chances.

Clark:  If it was 1st to 20th, and we used last year's results, guess who you would have had?   On the contrary, I will be happy

Nice run Scoub. Its a shame how much RNG is a factor is in these runs tbh. Your driving was largely flawless, but it was the bits you mentioned which were out of your control (plus items of course) which cost you some time.

Still I have no doubt youll be pushing it further over the next few weeks or months. Im expecting something crazy like a sub 30 lol.

One question though, why do you see through the trophy presentation instead of resetting when you finish the last race of the cup?

Better keep it imo.

Yeah, with keeping the cut scene the game loops by itself back to the start screen, giving it less "human element" of keeping track of a run from start to finish. This way the only real arbitrary human timing is how fast you can quit player 1 after each course, which everyone does at essentially the same time during runs anyway.

Also, in the style of speedrun.com, no sense in changing anything once the rules have been set.

That was a nice run, with no major mistakes. a couple seconds lost on a couple tracks, but overall a really solid run. It will requires great rng on items to beat it now
