This would be more of an Alex Penev project, but not done for the other sites either as far as I know. The news updates show players climbing and the archived news so you can look back to where you were at on certain stages.

Some may know that I am working on a new version of the MK8 site, which will likely include PR history. If it succeeds, the update may make its way to other MK games.

Lafungo raised the point about storage space. It is definitely something that needs to be considered. However those involved in the development of the new site seem to be of the opinion that we should eventually upgrade to a more modern hosting plan, one with more storage, rather than be confined with the limited storage space that provided with the current (rather old) web host plan.

Whether I'm imagining wading through frosting in Sweet Sweet Canyon to take a bite of that giant donut, or picturing myself, shrunken down, making my way through Waluigi's pinball machine, there's something rejuvenating about the game that provides a nice reminiscence of the halcyon days gone by.

That would be awesome. This would allow to take a look at other people's progress.
A good idea would be the ability to submit past PRs, so as to fill in the past history. This would be useful for top players especially, since they are not likely to post many more progress.

I really like the old one too actually, but it's been ~10 years without changing it, so I would be in favour of this new one to take its place. Change isn't always good or needed of course, but with something like a banner I find it's nice to have a fresh one every now and then. I have noticed the other MK sites change their banners much more frequently.

I have been discussing some ideas with Julien this week already. Perhaps Julien can set up a topic with a poll and some variations of designs so that everyone can vote and we can pick the favourite? I liked the idea of the characters in the banner, maybe it could be incorporated into the new designs somehow. Dont rush Julien, share some more cool designs and everyone can choose what they like or make suggestions?
