Thought I'd post this, as I was trying to get a controller to work yesterday, I (accidentally) MT'd under the 2nd spiny set on lap 2 of YV which I'm pretty sure was considered impossible. I took a vid, check out 55 seconds in the video timer. I might purposely go for this now on faster attempts.

I'm not sure if it was considered impossible, in my opinion it always depends on the splits you have when you approach them because of their pattern. Surely you went incredibly tight between the most annoying hedgehog and the vulcano, I mostly got sucked into that slope/wall when I tried, or my previous driving was probably slower whenever I found a way past it. You think this is repeatable? Good luck!

I did it purely by accident but it has to be repeatable especially if you're a little faster. I think I will be trying this the next time I get low 1x or 0x openers (not sure I can with this controller). On a 2x lap though I would go the normal route I think.

By impossible I meant at that kind of speed...obviously if you are slower you could probably go fully inside more easily at certain paces.

This beat my converted pal time by .01 hah The 3rd shroom lol I'm an overall non-sc god on NTSC now 4 left on the SC side

When you have no confidence in your controller you might as well kart MMF...first two laps weren't great but killed the last lap out of nowhere (not my best, but clutch for a PR run). I did a doublehop over the hill after the first set of moles and I'm not sure if it's slower but I'm more consistent entering into that next MT with it, but based on my last lap I can get WR splits with it so it's worth doing for now. This only gained 1 spot but was a nice healthy cut Smiley

Only 1 PR I have now was done on NTSC, guess I'll tackle that next (MMF flap).

I hit RRy Flap God. I got a 56"77 earlier today on lap 1 with a missed MT but didn't get it recorded because I fell in the water at the end and I wasn't live recording it.

Here's a 56"80 also on lap 1 with a missed MT and a few other smaller mistakes. I'm aiming for 56"67 which I think is well within reach. I'm doing lap 1 for now just because I'm rusty and my consistency is pretty bad.

anyone know how I might fix my colors issue? Got a new laptop yesterday and the picture on PAL makes red colors look very weird (observe the ramps). I hate dealing with picture issues...

1'35"96 (31"98-32"05-31"93)

I could do a lot better here but I guess I'll be taking the turtle route...I could easily get 3rd place though and choked a couple 3rd place pace runs.

whats your best 2nd lap here? since thats the one most of the time makes you to get a nice time or not!! the opener is nice and last lap 2 but the water level is pretty awfull most of the time in last lap. never really untherstand that!!

EDIT: i wonder how long it will takes you to get the 3rd place. i just saw the 36.00 with that mist mt. thats like a 0.15 -0.20 failure rto me!! but i also know then when you would enter earlier the water level is just higher Wink

this was always my struggle here! GL there! Smiley

btw how far ahead is lacey now?

I drove a 31.87 on lap 2 yesterday with a lot of room to improve (the lap transition on the 87 was perfect or close, but I lost a lot of time after that, so I could do a low 8x at least). I have WR splits now but just barely and the water messes with that, but I know I could get to 3rd here...watch out VAJ Tongue

If I got to 3rd here I would pass Lacey in AF.

hahah i know what your saying man!!! since your last performances on MR and 2 good joystick up your way i expectt anything close between us! And yes 87 is nice but no WR pace yet man! therefor your 2nd lap needs another 0.10 cut!! 3rd place is doable with a bit luck! splits doesn't say much to me here since the water messes up everything!! so i dunno what those to in front of me did but they did well!

But this is also why I prefer always racing a ghost for flap attempts.

Well I watched it and see one week spot! witch is the 2nd shroom is not as tight as it could be! other then that the race looked flawless. the water doesn't seems to distracked that much. (close to mu approach! p.s 0.20 later is the best if I remember correctly
