I know none of you guys know me but I find it sad that the SM64 player that I looked up to the most cheated and is apparently insane. Shadow of Myles was my childhood and I got into running SM64 because of him. I also always respected him because he gave all of the glory to Jesus in all of his videos.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I just watched cheese's 120 star time which had almost no flaws in it and I know it was livestreamed but it's still easy to fake on livestream. He literally did every single hard trick in the game flawlessly and had some of the craziest routes I've ever seen for some of the stars. It was an hour and forty minutes of mind-numbing concentration and perfection. Mad props if he did it in real time but I'm becoming more skeptical.

BTW SM64 is becoming WAYYY too optimized. I'm a teenager but even I don't have that much time to get that good at it.

RIP Myles, I'm sorry you're such a broken individual and I hope that God heals your physical and mental pain.

Coins jumping out of destroyed objects is RNG, enemies are RNG.

Not speedrunning or anything, but I hit 12"3 on Princess' Secret slide about 1.5 hours ago (previous PR before this session was 12"7 from 2011).


...and since then I've tied it 6 times. One of which I'm sure was a 12"2 fail. I bounced off the left wall after starting the race and lost a lot of time, and still got 12"3. <_<

Yeah, I've now hit 12"3 29 times. It's getting frustrating.

There's a guy on youtube with a 12"2 but he hit the wall way later than the tas video does. Maybe it's a different strat I don't follow too closely.

Technically yes, anything TAS is doable on a console, but this won't ever be done on one.

Not sure about the gaining speed part but all the walljumps have to be first frame. I don't think I've seen a legit amount of speed from HSWK. It would also require switching the control stick angle on the same frame for max speed gain.
