I had the same thought as you pierre when i was checking the great new vids page this afternoon. i mean the page is fantastic, but a 1'04"95 at kb2 non-nbt? come on, this is not what i expect from such a video site Wink

Chris, you should really take my old kb2 video from yahoogroups (1'03"2x). back in the day that was a world record. 8) (my one and only wr... aah, those were the days... Roll Eyes

The 5-lap is actually Non NBT as usual.

I only added a startboost for the flap, which is 17"24 now. My Non NBT flap of 17"27 is relatively better though, because I would say a startboost wins slightly more than 0"03 eventhough you can't take full advantage of it on RR (due to location of corner 1).

Anyway the quality of my RR video's deeply suck (due to some webcam-related issue that I don't totally understand, it might also have to do with neon colors in combination of black background of the track...anyway the video's look psychedelic Lips Sealed

), so I chose not to film a 5-lap race. I do have the Non NBT flap on tape, and here is a teaser of the quality of my RR vids Embarrassed

If it's the iceblock rows that are doing your head in, I advice you to do a very slight gastab just before you enter the passage-way between them. This will make the kart a little bit easier to control

If it's the last corner giving you a headache, well...then you can just watch video's and try to copy it. I struggled with that corner for a long time myself as well

Alternatively you can decide to do a snowslide (that is, if you master that technique) between the two bits of wall that are on the right as you enter last corner. This means you don't need any of the devine timing to jump the last corner watergap, cos you're simply going around it. (it is slower, but much easier and I got my time down to 54"xx with this strat once)

It'd be great to see a video of Sugar's! I'm honestly not sure if he uses emulator or not, but I hope he uses a real console. I remember Toshi saying that Sugar was going to try to get a picture of his times by using his cell phone, so perhaps that might mean that he uses a Super Famicom? Anyhow, I would like to see him join the sites, as well as Monchuck. They both have WRs.
