Regarding the distinction between Non-NBT and NBT driving, the best I think you can do to get yourself introduced to the concept is give this page a look. If it doesn't enlighten you though, please let me know and I won't mind trying to explain some of the more puzzling parts with different words.

As for the turbo start, you have to press B about ~½ seconds after you hear the very first light "beep".

Otherwise, I'm not sure there are any PAL videos that demonstrate boosting on GV1 available. Andreas
