Quote:Nah, I wouldn't want you to become L+/God within a few days Besides, it wouldn't reach your house before the next round (especially now that we have 2 matches a day)...
It may not arrive, but a tracking number would surely confirm that it's on its way. If you don't buy that, I can try begging...

Alright, on to vote sharing...
Michael Jongerius vs. Steven Gutierrez
Voted for Gutierrez. I kind of surprised myself with this vote. Honestly, I figured that I'd be voting Jong with almost no contest in this match. Still, I really thought about it, and it was clear to me that I just don't know Michael. Like I said, karting achievements aren't tops for me, so I had to resort to what I had seen from him, and what connections he had to me. When it got down to it, there were almost none. He seems like a nice guy from the conversations I've seen with him in it, and Laflamme's fake chat, but it's getting to the point where I need to base my votes off of personal experience, not what someone makes up about someone else.

Besides, I know most of the guys left now.
Still, even with not knowing Michael the best, I think (and it's obvious) that most people went for him anyway. Steven isn't the most liked karter ever, of course, though I think he has improved his posting/IMing habits and become a decent member. I'm sure that had I been one of the people that Steven has targeted with insults, I probably would've voted against him, but he has been pretty cool with me, so I can't hold that against him as much as others would. What it eventually came down to was that I've actually talked to Steven more (and he hasn't been an ass to me) and when it came down to videos and the like helping me, Steven's have done as much as Michael. In short, it was
really close, but Steven got a slight edge here.
If you would've told me pre-tourney that I'd vote Gutierrez 3 times in a row, I would've told you you were a wack job. So, even though he's out now, I guess you can say he had an impressive run, and that he got more support than many would expect, myself included.
Louis-Philippe Sabbagh vs. Eric Habrich
Voted for Louis. Refer to my 2nd fake chat to see how much I know about Habrich. If I'm not going to vote for Jong based on Kart skill, I can't do it for Hab either, and I even know
less for him. I would say something about him here, but I'm sure that all I could ramble about are Nebraska and the fact that he has a picture. He's great at kart, and you know...corn...
Louis, as it has been established, is one of my best online friends though, so no contest. Instead of some glowing review of Louis here, I think I'll talk about some of the bad things I've heard about him, since those have been brought to my attention recently.
The main argument that I've heard is that Louis is closed-minded. While I have gotten into some arguments with him where neither of us would budge (perhaps I'm just equally closed-minded), I think too many people let that dictate their whole outlook on him. If it's not a topic that he has a strong belief in, then he is usually pretty open in my opinion, and really, how many of you can say that you're very willing to budge on issues that you think you're right on? That, and I really think that too many people are unable to agree to disagree. If PAL and I can co-exist, it should be a love-fest for about every other topic.
The only other potentially bad thing that I can really see about his is how direct he is. This is what got him into conflicts with the Gutierrez brothers, I think. If you annoy him, he has probably told you about it. Personally, I don't have much of a problem with this...I think people tend to beat around the bush a bit much, but I guess if you're one of the people that bothers him, chances that your relationship will improve are probably rather slim.
I don't know. Maybe I just get along with him better than some because of our similarities (age, interests, timezone, humor). I can't say I'm shocked that some would vote against him, though. Of course, he did win this round by a
big margin, so it seems he's doing better than most people expected, even me. Still, I'm left to wonder how many votes for Habrich were because people know/like him well, and not just because he's #1 NTSC and has a load of videos (that most of us can't even emulate anyway), or because they dislike Louis. Can't we enforce manditory vote sharing rule, Liem?
Overall,
another 1/2. Shock, I know. Of course, fully expected here again.
Edit: Almost forgot. Nice vote totals. 2 matches/day = awesome too.
