Peach Circuit challenge (stolen from Gamefaqs)
08/28/04 at 11:32:02

In GameFaqs MKSC board i found this interesting thread about a challenge on Peach Circuit:

Quote:
I'm gonna lay down some strange rules, but bear with me.
No tree shrooming
No power sliding across grass
Use lightweight
use shroom at end to cut across grass to right of tree

I tried this strange "no tree shrooming" challenge Wink and i got some nice laps (dont read the GFs thread  please  Wink )
So i want to move here the challenge.
I had some real fun, since  before now, i never played using Toad ( a part my tries on Sky Garden SC) and i never played without Tree Ticking.

So... no one tried this challenge?  :'(
It's a one/two day challenge... you have not to spend one month or more like in real time trial.

I tried up and, it was funny  Roll Eyes
Anyway i got 50.45 using Toad, but a guy in GF board got a faster run...
I'm sure someone here (not me anyway  Wink ) can get even sub 50.
For those who want to give a try here my best run as starting point:

I played this game I think 3/4 years ago. I played it againt my friends and we played time trial a lot. I had all 80/80 records and I think I was pretty good in it  Wink . I did not know the tree shroom trick and I did knew a few SC.

I had not played this game since 2001 and I wanted to play it again. Then I saw your challenge and I tryed some.

Driver: peach
Time: 51'10 (16"98  16"96  17"16)
Best laps: 16"98  16"82  16"82= 50"62

btw my best time with bowser is 49'60 (2001) with this strat.

Thanks for replying, i swear i'll stop crying now  Wink
Your best lap are not far from mine.
I tried using all lightweight  kart and i found that with Peach it's hard to follow exactly the border of the circuit.
Yoshi seemed me a drunked karter too: unplayable.

Anyway i'll try PC with Bowser (not for this challenge of course) just to have another non tree ticking experience.

Thanks, and nice time James Smiley
Yes, the second blue boost  is useful there...  i can improve a bit but, hardly get 50.10 or so ...  Wink

Anyway let's see if someone can get under 50 Smiley
