In addition to competing against each other, you can measure your progress against the so far most successful MKDD player to turn to MK64, Tuomas Dunkel. I think it took him about half a year - maybe a little less - to get to Legend C. (He just got there a short while ago.) That's pretty impressive. If you can beat that .... 8)!!!

PS You find the old charts, monthly, under "Overall top 100's" on the MK64 page. So you can check against them. They are not completely up to date just now, though. Hopefully that can be fixed.

Sorry, no. This is part of the irregularity. For some reason that belongs to the history of the game, the gap between Elite D and Elite C is double that of the ordinary 32 improvements. So you must get 64 improvements.
You have already been repaid, though, because it only takes 16 improvements to get from Master C to Master B, and from Master B to Master A.
