Anyways, with the link Chris (Balch) gave.. he 1) mistyped his times, 2) is playing NTSC or 3) is using sand boosts.

Shall I test how fast a sandboost lap could go with Toad on MC1? Wink

To be honest I don't think 12"13 is possible though, even with all boosts...I haven't tried it yet though and don't think anyone else did either Undecided

I reckon it was a typo, judging his 5 lap time
He probably meant 13"13 but that way his 5 lap would be impossible..weird ???

Hmmm... my 12"78 is done with 2 sandboosts ! I think 12"4x is a hard limit, so a 12"13 is extraterrest, even if it's NTSC ! Tongue

1'05"43 ? With sandboosts it's totally possible, but non-NBT... Grin

I agree my 1'05"94 isn't still perfect, but I'm seeing again my video and I really don't understand how it's possible to win 0"51 ! ???

OK, Chris, if you reached a 1'06"32 with Toad, it's already a very good time ! Wink

So, good luck to reach a sub 1'05"90 like I asked ! I continue to assume you can't do it, but if you succeed and have a video... I'll apologize ! Embarrassed

Hmmmm, a lot of argument about times being unbeatable. I have a friend who is sure that the clock on mariokart slows down as you play it more so that you can always improve your time trial times. I can see his point because no matter how many times I think I've put down a time that I'll never beat or done a lap that seemed that I could do nothing to improve it, I always have, eventually. However, I like to think its cos I'm improving and that its his excuse for why I keep beating his times!

If it is true, I want to be the first to get the clock to show 0:00:00 when I finish!

I've just watched Pierre's MC2 and sorry, if you're that good at something, you can be as arrogant and self assured as you like. All the best sportsman in the world are arrogant, thats what makes them so good, just look at Michael Schumacher! And yes! Super Mario Kart is a sport. Anything that takes absolutely years of practice and dedication to get so good has to be considered as a sport! However, I must admit, its mostly the non-English karters who seem to blow their own trumpet more! Wink
