Eise Smit was the first person to submit times (or have his times approved by a moderator) according to the YahooGroups Archives, so I guess you could say he was the "first" site champion.

If you don't know, before the site was updated like once a week, so we just could see who was champion since each update, so the first sub doesn't count, first update is what matter.

It wasn't once a week, it was like once a month at one point when the site was having problems Undecided  but yeh averaging once a week at best.

I think I remember the first news update, it said something like "As soon as we were up we had Michael Jongerius submitting records", but I can be bothered to check the news archives
