Are you denying it's easier BD? I wouldn't say it's unfair on others but as Matt B said it's a FACT that 60Hz is harder than 50Hz simple as that. If you still believe there's no difference BD then you're the one that's "ridiculous"  Wink

PS. What's a jumping jack? Is that like JJ flash?  Grin

Right, its not easier. Mts are harder on 50hz. probably he is in need of such blind excuses.

Ok here is a fact about 50/60 you guys might disagree  but Prashant played 60hz and got a WR on MB in a couple of weeks changing to 60 so does that not say anything?

Also i would like the updating going back to be every week , it was much more fun to look at the changes and new ranks, what you think?

Mts aren't harder on 50hz. you just have to find the rythm. then it's the same.

I agree with you paul. Updates are really interesting right now.

It tells us that Prash is a MK legend  Grin (but seriously what's to say he wouldn't have got that WR if he'd stuck with 50Hz?)  And updates every week? I don't see how that would make things "more fun". Surely everyone wants their times added to the database ASAP after they're submitted?

EDIT: Hmm...what are you referring to as the "updates"?

ok than its the same und nobody can say its harder to use 60hz. i havent led this discussion before. moritz always alleges such untruth. perhaps he only has complexes.

I wouldn't say actually it's 'harder' to use 60Hz BUT as far as I can see it makes sense that it's easier to MT on 50Hz as you get more time to 'twiddle' the analogue stick.

i  played both mode intensively and there aren't any differences. you just need a little time to accustom that's all.

Well before we decide if its easier or not we need an opion from someone who has played both.As said before if 50hz is easier what does this make me and Moritz who are keeping at the top with those 50hz players?

Forget the updating per week i dont think anyone will want it that way anyway , thats one of the good things about the new updating system so we can update everyday.

Who is a jumping jack? Moritz?

played!  Wink

I do agree. Thats the reason for my trouble about moritz teasing against the 50hz user. he bothers the complete board with remarks like '50hz sucks' etc. why he doesnt suspend??

played -> corrected  Grin

About the 50hz stuff we can't help it. And mariokart is not the only games who is concerned. take f-zero x for example. My brother was about 15-16 ranked (time trial of course). He became number 2 in no times and began to beat some wrs from Jimmie Thai. The first thing that guy said was my brother is a pal player so that's normal.

Well, that was just to say that there will always be people like that, especially those who cant' experience 50hz/Pal mode. Moreover, in order to notice some "differences", you need to play 50hz for a long time, not ten minutes Roll Eyes

Ok, I played 50hz before and then i chaged to 60Hz, and I dont deny that it is harder in 60hz, at first it was alot ahrd, but after a few weeks of practicing i got used to the speed difference. I dont think the level that the person plays at changes, in 50Hz I looked at my best splits for certain tracks, and then in 60Hz after a few weeks of adjusting i looked at the splits i could get and they were abotu the same, On some tracks i.e. MB my splits got even better. I don't think this means anything really. From this you cnat say that becasue i played 60hz i got the MB pr if i carried on playing in 50Hz i would have proably got the same standard WR. The thing is that people think that 60Hz is so much harder but from what I've seen and also my pr's on Mb and other tracks also shows that is not much of a differecne at all. Since changing to 60 I dont find that I pr less or more. I dont find I have to play for longer to pr on a track, after a while of adjsuting any 50 player should be able to easily accustom to 60hz and carrying on play at the same level they used to. Smiley(smiley for the hell of it)

Hoarding times is not something that you should be doing in order to gain a competitive advantage. To me it's just plain poor sportsmanship. You should post your PRs the same day that you achieve them if you can.

I agree Mark I always try to post PRs the same day, but sometimes can't when my brothers or parents are hogging the computer Angry

And I would like updates to stay the way they are now, once or twice per day Grin

A few weeks, nice, this is what everyone say, you'll get used to it nowadays, but it takes some weeks like you said, but with someone who plays on 60 hz and go to 50 hz, and after 10 minutes he starts beating his times, why?

Now the times are still be improved all the time, imagine 50 hz and 60 hz on 2010, that every detail on the run is important to beat the record.

Btw, I want to see you get 1'16"3 at LC on 60 hz, have you tried it already?

Ok firstly I used to play 60Hz way before like when i first started, then I changed to 50hz for proof and I can say honestly it was just as fucking hard to change, I used to turn to damn early becasue of the slowness, I missed so many mt's and it took me the same amount of time(2 weeks or so) to get used to 50hz changing from 60hz. Moritz I understand where you are coming from but you have not played both so I think it is fair to say your opinion can't really be counted. You have to experiecne both modes and you will see that it is not easy either to change form 60 to 50. Obviously changing fomr one to the other is not the same difficulty but they are very close.

Also 1:16:300 on LC well no I haven't hit it but I have bettered my 1 shroom lap, it is now 25:095 and also my 0 shroom lap 1st lap I haven't beaten my old splits of 25:897 but I have gotten 25:950 or so a number of times. I think the fastest I've got on LC since my change is about 1:16:590 or so, but I haven't played that track much.
