Just having a guy decide when you should be promoted. And standards continually getting harder every time u beat them. Think the ones here a pretty good.....but I guess time will tell.

I wish the mkdd ranks did that , start with Titan C or something and when they were beating add new ranks but keep Titan C times the same so know one was going down a rank.I think it would have been better then just making god standards straight off , as some have been beating already in a few months , but mk64 was a much harder game and plp found out new strats bcoz of the jump technique.But as i said i think the GOD standard was made to earlier , no way we could change it now. Like PT said, there's no jumping or anything, so everyone's strat is basically the same. So all the top 50 will probably eventually be really close.

Paul, I don't consider the current MKDD GOD standards fixed forever now. If the God level turns out to be too easy, we can easily add ranks between Titan and God, like we did with MK64. The Titan A standards will stay exactly the same. The God standards will be shifted up, and some new ranks will be placed in between. People will never go down in rank. The only thing that might happen is that new ranks are added at the top of the table. That's what we had in mind when we created these standards.

In MK64 we made the error that when we decided to "adjust" the standards, the only thing we did was just making almost all standards harder (standards from GOD to King). That didn't work well, because all Legend/King players just fell down in rank that way, which was silly.
If we'll adjust the MKDD standards in the future, we'll just make the standards more balanced, without letting people falling down in rank. We'll definitely not make all standards harder. That's an error we'll not make again.

But shifting all scores up, while keeping the existing names the same would also work fine I think. But for now, that's something we don't need to think about yet...

I do agree they should be adjusted so long as my Hero C rank for this 1lap course doesn't go down
