I really wish Moritz would share his strats or make videos. I need a lot of help on rainbow road. I don't think that is going to happen though.

same as Matt. Moritz is a trusted gamer but as he is already proven then there is no need for him to show anymore vids until the next proof call (the one after the next one actually ) We can't help it

Just because Moritz has been proven it doesnt mean he isnt misusing this trust.

I wouldnt be suprised if the Rainbow Road time was legitimate but I think he should provide some proof even if it is just to help other gamers, after all isnt that one of the underlying themes of the website

If Moritz has to provide proof of his RR time, then i think all site records should be prooved....just because his time may seem improbable doesnt mean its impossible. I dont understand why anyone would lie about their times.....whats the point?

I feel that if you have the ability to readily make vids and put them online then you should do so without being forced to do it... ESPECIALLY if it's a WR. The Mario Kart community was built around the fundamental idea that knowledge and strats should be shared openly to foster the development of the community as a whole. And for the most part that's what makes this community so great. A large majority of the players unselfishly abide by this philosophy and as a result the community is enriched and becomes stronger.

For example take a look at Brian Gallo. There is no doubt he is one of the best MK64 players on the planet. He has proven himself to some extent (he's at least capable of driving Legend level times) and he has tutored some of kart 64's other top stars such as Batastini. However Brian's eventual undoing was that he was flat out unwilling to provide proof or even share strats for many of his times including important and possibly even historical WRs such as DKJP even though he was readily capable of making vids and providing Dex ghosts... hell I even have a few of his DEX ghosts and a vid or two.

I don't quite understand the mindset of using unethical techniques in order to gain a strategic advantage in a game ranking. Perhaps some people value their actual ranking in the game over how others perceive them... "a win at all costs no matter how many bridges you burn" attitude - but I don't think I will ever fully understand why that is.

So I just wanna take this time to say a big "Thank You" to everyone that can easily make and put vids online and that actually takes the time to do so. You guys are the heart and soul of this community.

Perhabs the 2:58,4 guy discovered a new strat and shared it with Moritz.

BTW, I'm feeling a bit strange talking about him while is always able to read that. I cannot understand why he's not posting in this thread.

Well said Mark , what i dont like is i make vids for every run i do to help people , but when they have a faster time then me lets say Moritz he dont help , i remember helping Moritz with some vids so wheres the help back Moritz , yeah thanks man.
