Andreas, do you expect new players to use BT on DKM Shocked

@Rookie It's best to use Toad Kart (or even Toadette Kart, although only if you're having trouble with Toad Kart) on DKM until you are very high ranked. People have even gotten GOD times with the Toad Kart, so BT isn't really necessary unless you are WR hunting. Definitely read through the site Andreas gave, it's a great weapon for new players!

My opinion doesn't mean much as I'm ranked like 350th, but when I first started out I was using Toad Kart for DKM and WS (Toadette Kart is slower and didn't really feel easier). I eventually switched to the BT once I got comfortable on WS but for DKM I never switched. Another thing is that at a low level I found WC to be the easiest course, my times there were easily ranked the best and once you learn the techniques I found it fun to drive.

I know my ranking isn't low but I'm just speaking from personal experience as it wasn't long ago I was ranked like 600th at the game. Other than that the site Andreas linked is great to get started and I learned most of what I know from it.

Reply #5888 - 03/16/13 at 11:12:26 Yeah its still possible with these times but if you want to go lower than this you really should use 0-0-2, i remember once, when i had 46.1, 45.9 on first and 2nd, i was too early on 3d and failed at the thwomp :/ and this was even without shrooms.

Well another decent session, could've been better ofc.

MB flap - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im31tPnLVFA did a pretty huge mistake at the start, went too wide maybe a 0.05 loss which is pretty much on this track Smiley

other than that a very good lap, very good 2nd shroom, perfect tunnel etc.

also did 33.606 on dkm and 31.043 on mct, both were pretty sloppy
