We are going to hold a contest to see who can come up with the best design for the front page logo of the MKDD Players' page and for a link-button other sites can use to link to us. If we like your design then you'll leave your indellible mark on the MKDD Players' Page and receive all of the fame, accolades, money and women that goes along with winning the contest.  

Rules for the logo design contest:

1. The submission deadline is 11:59 pm PST May 31st, 2004

2. The logo must be in .JPG or .GIF format

3. The logo must be no larger than 50 kb in size.

4. The logo must be no bigger than 760 pixels wide

5. The logo must be no bigger than 300 pixels high

6. You must also submit a smaller scaled-down version of the logo that must be no bigger than 250 pixels wide and 100 pixels high.

7. The logo must make clear the nature of the site.

8. The logo must have on it somewhere "MKDD Players' Page" or "Mario Kart Double Dash Players' Page." It does not have to be the focus of the logo but must be on the logo and must be readable.


Rules for the Link-Button design contest:

1. The submission deadline is 11:59 pm PST May 31st, 2004

2. The link-button must be in .JPG or .GIF format

3. The link-button must be no larger than 15 kb in size.

4. The link-button must be no bigger than 90 pixels wide

5. The link-button must be no bigger than 30 pixels high

6 The link-button must make clear the nature of the site.


A person may submit up to 3 submissions in each category. Good luck!

That logo looks also very promising Fernando.
I also think you need a better quality version of the MKDD text logo in that pic. The colors in the text "MARIOKART" look a bit blurred (looks like it's scanned from a paper with a low quality scanner). And there's some white stuff around the edges of the logo.
Kesi's logo is an example of a very clear looking logo, that blends perfectly with the background. I think the background in your pic looks more interesting than Kesi's though, although i'd currently still pick Kesi's logo.
