Edit: No, it's not nearly as bad as Bukrim's MK64 vids.

Edit 2: Do you know how much time it saves to do an MT immediately when you land from the big jump shortly before the finish line in BC? I've been having trouble doing that one so I'm wondering how much time I'm losing there.

You need to start the mt in the air (at about the middle of the jump). And you have to release it before you hit the ground. Basically just do it as if you're on the ground, and you'll hear the turbo before you land when you release it.
The same thing works on the big jumb before the spiral on WC.

Yes. Like Pual said, you have to start it as you come off the zipper, and release it before you hit the ground. And I might need to be corrected here, but I'm pretty sure you can't do it any more once you hit the ground - too big of a drop.
