Anyway i currently use: Paratrooper/Diddy Kong in the Barrel train. Whats everyone elses? oh and im not talking about Time trial of course.

Normally choose Mario and Luigi for some random reason. In GP mode, usually use the flower and boo as they have all the weopons making it more interesting+ bit harder to race with also there karts are cool Dave

Surely the best combo is something like Toad + Diddy or Toad + Koopa in the BT. Have toad in the back when your behind to get super boost then diddy in back when your in front for the big banana.

I find baby bowser special is a liability. Fire it forward and you'll prolly hit it yourself. When you fire it backwards, half the time it does not even stop a red shell. Baby marios special can be pretty crap too. Its ok if you are JUST behind your opponents but pretty useless if you are much behind as it don't go much faster than normal speed and it can fling you off in all directions when it finishes.

Koopas have great specials. 3 reds very useful (unless your miles behind). 3 greens good if you in the lead.
