Hi guys this is my first post on the board. I'm Tory Waters, maybe you've noticed me around the top on the LC times. Well right now that track is my main focus and I'm just wondering if anybody who has faster than a 1'19'360 3-lap or 25'714 flap (my PRs right now) has any tips (or vids) at all that'd be great.

My strat right now for 3lap is...
Left-facing MT right after the start.
Left-facing MT after hitting the ground, then 2 right-facing MTs, the 2nd one released after landing on the shortcut route.
Left-facing then right-facing MT on the shortcut path.
3-4 MTs around the big turn (not sure if its faster or not to do 4, but I usually try for 4)
Land off the boost into a left-facing MT, then another left-facing MT and 2 right-facing MTs up the hill.
Two left-facing MTs, then hold 1 around the turn and release it before the finish line.
Same for 2nd and 3rd laps, except using a shroom around the last turn.

Flap, same as 2nd and 3rd laps above except use the first shroom across the grass at the beginning to cut onto the shortcut path.

I use the Baby Marios in Barrel train. My strat was almost exactly the same as yours and our times are similar too. I have the vid too but it's too big for e-mail I think (7mb). Do you happen to have AIM then. If yes, my name there is TuomasDunk.

I use the same amount of MTs in the same directions that you do (I have 1'18'8 and 25'4).

Except, I only do 3 MTs on the turn after the chomp. I take that turn very much like the big chomp turn in Mario Circuit: when I MT right-facing onto the turn, I start veering hard left for a little while before starting to slide to do an MT.. my speed stays at 58-60 during this time, rather than 57 while sliding.

As for the 3 MTs.. they just have to be really really close to the sand! Expecially if you want < 25'4 fast lap. You definitely need a ghost here for flaps, because it's hard to tell when you make up or lose time on your ghost on this very corner.

Also, for the shroom, you should be glued to the wall the entire time, right?

Alright I'm up to 1:19:136...and 1:18 is definitely in reach. Should get it within the next few days. Thanks for the help guys. I still want that 1:18:5 vid.

Alright I'm up to 1:18:781 and 25:542.  

I'll revive my own topic from the dead in order to celebrate my new 1:17:887 3lap and 25:282 flap!  

I also got my 3lap on tape and my dad's taking it to his work to digitize it, so it should be online in a day or two.

Bringing my old topic back...I'm now down to 1:17:321 and 25:101 but I am totally stuck. My best splits are 26:3, 25:4, 25:4 and I can get those pretty consistently but I just can't seem to get lower....I do exactly what Bhoja does in his vids but it doesn't seem to get the same results. ANY advice at all anyone can give me...help please!

You'll be happy to know that i now have a 1:16:352 on video very soon when i capture it. The laps are very good too 25:900(0 shroom)  25:175   25:277.

The last lap was ok but i was panicing because of the previous 2 laps . But i managed to get a decent last lap.

By the way i forgot to give advice, but all I can say is just keep copying what I do and eventually you'll start to hit better laps. From my experience I used to be like how do you get that kind of lap, but after a month or so you will get it. Just don't give up .

Hmm, did you ever see your page in e.g. firefox, mozilla etc.?
Als this "Frontpage stuff" only works in IE, so when using a different browser the page doesn't look so well
