That said, you would save the most time if you shroomed right after the section where you hop over track. If you notice, the speed-o-meter drops significantly there, so if you can shroom right on landing and dodge, that would probably cut your time by another .5 or so I'd bet.

You might also want to consider trying to hit one of the zippers after the square lava holes section. I think hitting each one rather than going tight saves about .1-.2 each or something.
