In flap you spend as much time in the grass as for the entire 3lap. Bowser sucks in the grass

Plus Bowser probably can't jump over the fence (3lap) =P

MK64 obviously defies the laws of physics.......
but a heavier object and a lighter object do not fall at different rates, as long as they have the same drag.  If anything, Yoshi or Peach would fall faster than Bowser (Toad's head is too big for a faster fall)

I think heavyweights' handling of non-slide turns might do something, who knows

Hey Wonn, you don't happen to have a video do you?  Otherwise you could probably just answer my question.  Does Lakitu end up being on the screen twice when you do a lap that quickly?  The fastest video I've seen doesn't, but your time is considerably faster than that video.

No, I don't happen to have a video, but I do have the ghost Dexed. I'm guessing that you're asking if it's possible to have 2 Lakitus on the screen at the same time (?) If that's the question then no, it shouldn't ever be possible as far as I know, even with faster laps. The reason I say this is based on the other Mario Kart games where I have even faster laps recorded. Lakitu's re-appearance after an extremely fast lap is merely delayed until the "previous" Lakitu goes off-screen.

Think about FS SC.  If you suck like I do (5.54), Lakitu "second lap" just begins to show up, then he picks you up
Also think about RRa SC- the warp part (which I can't do yet, someone wanna help?)

Theres a vid around for that isn't there? Just aim for the same spot as in the vid I guess and pray to the MK Gods. I hit it a couple of times..that WR is very doable (well at least I think so) but that was just before my last controller broke so I don't play that one for fun anymore.

I don't remember ever hitting RRa 2nd SC without doing a slide off the big ramp.. it probably doesn't work. Just slide off, chances are usually good (use the rectangle map view.. if your character jumps to the left edge, it a 99% chance that it worked)

Okay, I do a slide every time, my quesiton is whether or not you do an MT off the ramp

It's not much in comparison, but it does rank in the top 10 for NTSC. I was hoping to bring it under 4 seconds before making this PR public. This was set shortly after my ground-breaking heavyweight WR in WS.

Wonn, after jumping over the first wall and turning around, do you use a mushroom before jumping over the second wall?  It seems that this should be faster.  The fastest WS SC flap video that I've seen is Penev's 2.74, and he doesn't use a mushroom there, but it is considerably slower than 2.57, so could that be the reason for the big difference in times?
