Bowers Castle 1 (Read 219 times)

MErlin Guest	Bowers Castle 1 04/09/03 at 09:10:37 I've gone a 45.93 and I can't get any faster. What are some shortcuts or ways to drop more time. All I know is jumping over the jump section instead of using the ramps.

phew.. umm.. i wrote a detailed strat for sub 45 which michael might post here. umm..

basics.. take that first two corners tight.. driver to next corner.. hop around just cutting the first edge of the gravel.. jump and slide when parrallel with the next thwomp next to the wall on the left and hold the slide all the way around to the first jump.. hop over the jumps and because you held the slide you should boost at some point in one of the gaps. jump the corner of the last gravel and shroom down the home straight.. i can get sun 45 pretty often that way.. umm.. tight driving etc.

well basically players use this strat called "tree-tricking" for lack of a better term.... basically you use a shroom and ram yourself into a stationary object, in the case of BC1 it's the corner of the tile barriers. As you hit the tile corner you jump and then release the A button and you will get an incredible boost for about 3 to 4 seconds as long as you don't touch the A button or hit anything else. You can drive the course normally without using this trick and achieve a time of around 43" seconds, if you want to go any faster you will have to use the trick I described above.
